In the past 24 hours, there were rumors that Aretha Franklin died from a cancer disease; but the story still unconfirmed. Many speculate it was probably a hoax, much like the false reports of Morgan Freeman death last week (but he is still alive, by the way). Earlier this month, Fox News Detroit said that Franklin had been diagnosed with cancer. Although the type of cancer has not been officially confirmed, the National Enquirer says that Aretha is suffering from pancreatic cancer - the same cancer that Patrick Swayze died last year. These still only rumors, but they can be true. Who Knows? Maybe she is still alive, and maybe she is just gone. The next hours will reveal the truth for us.

Online 'Sextortion' On The Rise

Posted in Sunday, August 15, 2010
by nessy jane

The nightmare began with a party: three teenage girls with a webcam, visit a discussion forum on the Internet and, yielding to demands to flash their breasts. A week later, a daughter, a 17-year-old from Indiana, began threatening e-mails.

An unknown

said it had captured its image on the webcam and publish photos to their MySpace friends if she posed for pictures and videos more explicit about it. At least twice, the teenager did what his blackmailer demanded. Finally, the police and federal authorities became involved and charged a 19 year old man in Maryland in June on charges of sexual exploitation.

federal prosecutors and defenders of the safety of children say they see a recovery in such cases of extortion of sexual favors online. They say that teenagers who text naked cellphone photos of themselves or show their bodies on the Internet have been approached by pedophiles who threaten to expose their behavior to friends and family, unless that they account for porn more explicit, creating a vicious circle of exploitation.

A federal affidavit

includes a special term for the crime: "sextortion."

No tracks currently

the number of cases involving online sexual extortion in state and federal courts, but prosecutors and others to the development of several recent examples of large-scale victimization of young people in a dozen states: " / p>

- In Alabama, Jonathan Vance, 24, of Auburn, was sentenced to 18 years in prison in April after admitting sending threatening e-mails on Facebook and MySpace extorting nude photos of young women over 50 in Alabama, Pennsylvania and Missouri.

- In Wisconsin, Stancl Anthony, 18, received 15 years in prison in February after prosecutors said he represented as a young girl on Facebook to deceive men schoolmates by sending nude photos of cell phone, which he then used to extort 'for sex.

- A 31 year old man has been arrested in California in June on charges of extortion after authorities said he hacked into more than 200 computers and threatened to expose the nude photos he found at least their owners have asked for more sexually explicit videos. Forty-four of the victims were minors, authorities said. Federal prosecutors said he was even able to remotely activate the webcams of some victims without their knowledge and save them to undress or have sex.

cases have prompted police officials and advocates to warn teens about their activities. Privacy is nonexistent on the Internet, and once indiscretions appear online, it is virtually impossible to regain. A nude photo sent to their mobile, with a boyfriend can move easily through the cell phone contacts and wind on Web sites that post pictures sexting. Once there, it is available to anyone who wants to trace the person who did it.

"The children put their heads into the lion's mouth every time they do," said Parry Aftab, a lawyer and advocate of online safety for children.

Teens may be more vulnerable to blackmail because they are easily intimidated and embarrassed to seek help. And the crooks are often willing to take their threats, "said Steve Debrot, Deputy Prosecutor of the United States in Indianapolis, who has been involved in investigations sextortion.

"You're Blackmail, Aftab says," ... and you will do everything to keep these images out. "

In the case of Indiana, the mother of the teenager called police when she learned about the threats. Authorities are assigned by Internet service providers to monitor chat sessions and e-mails to their source, a computer in Mechanicsville, Md., according to court documents.

According to court documents, the computer's owner, Trevor Shea, told agents that he had engaged in similar initiatives with about 10 girls, most of them 17 or 18.

His trial is scheduled for August 30. He pleaded not guilty and his lawyer, Michael Donahoe, said he is working on a possible solution.

Clouds can communicate, so-called scientific

Posted in Friday, August 13, 2010
by nessy jane

Little fluffy and talkative? clouds can communicate, suggests a new document - but what they are talking about?

A new study has found that clouds "communicate" with them, just like the chirping of crickets or flashing Lucioles on a summer night .the findings surprising, published online in the journal nature, may have significant implications for our understanding of the global climate.

For the next time you are laying on your back picking forms among the clouds, Cybershot on it: are they talk among themselves you?

«Cloud fields organize so that their components communicate with each other and produce regular and periodic, precipitation events» Graham Feingold, a researcher with the National Oceanic Atmospheric Agency (NOAA) and the paper lead author explained.

In other words, Feingold found clear evidence of the self-organization in regular precipitation and repeating these floating hot cotton growth models.

How come this synchronization?Fall of rain cools the air as he descend.Cela creates draughts downwards. These downdrafts touched the surface of the planet, flow outwards and collide with others, forming air flow ascendants.Le creates new clouds open up previously as older clouds dissipate. Then the new rain clouds and oscillating model repeats.

"In a sense what happens is that clouds are communicate between them by pulling toward the sol.Si you have a number of doing exactly what clouds, air is forced to go to the side of a cloud and responds to the air, on the other,"Feingold said FoxNews.com.""

Voila!Speech of cloud!

Previous theories on the cloud structure explained that temperature change was at the heart of the generation of cloud, that the warming and cooling three-quarters of work were the main precipitation forces.La as a factor driving is something of a radical change.

Clouds but talking? this is even more radical.

Feingold is nevertheless quite serious, citing a long history of research in communication of clouds.

"If you enough return far, basic physics behind this phenomenon was recorded at the beginning of the 1900s by a French scientist,", he explained.

He was watching the Sun but a telescope and noticed patterns of Rayleigh convection.Lord later put in a theoretical framework, explaining the hexagonal patterns observed in the laboratory, said Feingold FoxNews.com.

"1933 is the report more early of models in the clouds" by a scientist named Graham, he says .but Feingold think that the idea of cloud communication could back much further. ""

"I would be surprised if the elders were watching clouds and see models from the start," he says.

NEW ORLEANS - The final feet of well drilling relief intended to permanently plug busted BP wells petroleum deep below the Gulf of Mexico will have to wait two or three days as a tropical depression strengthening bears down on site.

BP officials and Coast Guard had already decided to stop drilling earlier Tuesday prior to the National Hurricane Center forecasters named storm depression. A tropical storm warning has been issued for a large part of the coast affected by spills of oil, Gulf of destiny, Florida, at the La Intracoastal, city.

The center of the storm was located off the coast of Florida, hundreds of kilometres southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River. He was travelling at Northwestern and should strengthen slowly and become a storm tropical Wednesday.

Retired Coast Guard flagship Thad Allen, point the Government on the spill, man says the final steps will have to wait for any threat to the well who spewed over 200 million litres of oil over three months before a temporary cap it seals in mid-July.

Crews will appear in a temporary to protect Cap through them thus far, but they do return to shore workers. They left approximately 30 to 50 feet penetrated.

The franchise is well meant to BP PLC allow mud pump and cement in broken deep underground for a so-called kill the bottom, a permanent seal that would complement a plug injected into the upper part of the property last week.

Allen insisted on days that BP move forward with the kill low, although the upper plug seemed tenir.Mardi, however, he said test must still be done on the well before a final decision is rendered.

"I'm not sure that we know that... I do not want to prejudge whether it continues to do so or step go faire.Il will be based on conditions.

He later assigned "a very low probability" to kill the bottom does not do so, but then said: "We inform everyone" If that changes.

BP, Vice-President Kent Wells said really is 'a possibility' engineers cement pumped in through the top down into the reservoir, returned and plugged in the ring, which lies between the inner pipe and the outer envelope.

Allen also says officials have been delete some boom that had been submitted to trap oil in Florida, Alabama, and the Mississippi.Il says that the boom will be there in storage and available for use later, if necessary.

The delay of the storm came on the same day as fishermen and tourist operators received some good news: Federal authorities announced that approximately 5,000 square miles of Gulf on the Florida Panhandle has been reopened for commercial and recreational fisheries.

Jane Lubchenco, administrator of the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, said the extent of the East of Pensacola in Cape San Blas and extension of the South in open Gulf is safe for the pêche.Aucune oil was observed in these waters since July 3, however testing continues.

The spill began with an explosion of 20 April who sank the BP-leased rig horizon killed and deep water drilling 11 workers.

More than 300 lawsuits filed in response against BP and other companies will be treated by a federal judge in New Orleans, a judicial panel said Tuesday.

An order made Tuesday by u.s. Judicial Committee on multidistrict litigation says 77 cases as well as over 200 potential "tag along" shares will be transferred to US District Judge Carl Barbier.
